A stylized mark, usually black, in the shape of a teardrop balanced on its point, based on the male half of the Aes Sedai symbol from the Age of Legends. Scrawled on a door or a house, it is an accusation of evil against the people inside, calling them Darkfriends. It is also thought to be able to bring bad luck.
