• Why did you choose Yellow?

I chose Yellow because it really and truly felt like home to me. I have lots of friends in different Ajahs, and was convinced that because of those friends, I'd be Blue or Green or White or something else. I visited Yellow and hung out here for a time, and when it came time to leave to guest elsewhere, I simply couldn't bear to leave. I remember a feeling of panic almost thinking... NOOOOO I cannot leave here. I messaged Autumn that night and told her I wanted to aspire Yellow. I've never for one second regretted the decision and have never looked back.

• Are you like the Yellows in the Books? Do you care for people and love to heal things?

I don't think I'm a healer in the traditional sense of the word.. I couldn't be a nurse or anything like that, I'm much too emphatic and can't handle sickness very well, but I love to fix people as far as their problems go. I'm always looking for a solution. I want to help someone be happy... if it's a problem or a situation that someone has gotten themselves into, I try my best to fix it. If someone needs advice or the truth, I give it. So I'm Yellow like the books in the fact that I like to fix that which is broken.

• Do you have a favorite Yellow Ajah character from the novels?

Right this minute, I can't think of one. I never really cared for Nynaeve in the books, she got on my nerves.

• How long have you been a fan of the Wheel of Time series?

My son introduced me to it in 2006 or so. He was in the airport in London on his way to Wales for a mission trip with his church group and picked up Eye of the World in the bookstore in the airport. He raved about it and read the second and third books and then insisted I read the series. We've enjoyed many hours of conversation about this series and that in itself makes this series precious to me.

• How did you first get into the series?

Oops. See above answer.

• Who is your favorite "hero"?

Hm. I'd have to say Lan. He is bad ass.

• Favorite bad guy/gal?

Lanfear.

• Favorite book and scene?

Well shoot. I've researched quickly in the Library and can't tell which book it is, but I have two favorite scenes.. the first is when Rand is on Dragonmount and contemplates ending the world like the Kinslayer did, and then it's at the beginning of one of the books when Rand is traveling and makes the apples grow on the tree for the farmer. I have several favorite scenes, but those two stand out right now.

• If you were set down in Randland, who/what would you see yourself as? An Aes Sedai? Innkeeper? Seanchan Captain?

I've always fancied I'd be an Aiel that was raised from infancy in the Two Rivers, but goes back to the Three-fold Land to reclaim my heritage and I become extremely BAD ASS.

• How did you find TarValon.Net and what convinced you to stay and become a Senior Member?

I was researching for theories after my son and I had discussed some things about the books and googled "Wheel of Time theories" and it brought me here. I kind of poked around and took the necessary steps to join and everyone made me feel so absolutely welcomed and important and cared about that I stayed. That was a darkish time in my life and the Tower gave me exactly what I needed to come out of it.

• What do you do in "real life"?

I'm the assistant to the Director of Transportation for the county school system where I live. That's fancy talk for saying I'm the secretary at the bus garage.

• Do you have any hobbies?

I love to read, I enjoy music, I dabble in crochet, and I love watching sports.

• What kind of music do you enjoy listening to?

All kinds! I don't particularly care for hard metal or anger metal or whatever, but I like most everything.

• What are some of your favorite movies / television shows?

Right now, my favorite movies are Maleficent and The Equalizer, and the television shows I enjoy are The Blacklist, The Big Bang Theory, and Fast and Loud.

• Aside from The Wheel of Time, what are a few of your favorite books/series?

I love all things Stephen King. I've also enjoyed some horny vampire books occasionally.

• What profession did you want to have when you were a kid?

I always wanted to be a teacher. Then I discovered that I have zero patience.
