TarValon.Net's Annual Blood Drive first began as a call to action after the April 15, 2013 Boston Marathon bombings. The Department of Community Outreach posted the initial campaign asking community members to donate blood to their local blood banks worldwide. The community's response was so positive, the decision was made to make the Blood Drive an annual Outreach campaign.
Yearly Results
2013
Following the bombings on April 15, 2013 at the Boston Marathon the Department of Community Outreach organized a Blood Drive For Boston, asking members to donate blood if they can to their local blood banks. A few days later when there was an explosion in Texas, Texas was added to the campaign. The overall success of the Blood Drive event triggered a year-long Blood Drive campaign to launch in 2014.
2014
This year, we set our goal for our blood drive at 42 pints of blood. We came in just shy of this with 41 pints.
