Why did you choose Val'Cueran?

While I got on well enough with all of the companies I guested with, it was the Val Cueran where I felt most at home. Then again, it could have been the natural fashion sense of the wolves, there is nothing like a VC haircut.

Do you fit the Val'Cueran stereotype? Are you fiercely loyal and travel in a pack? Do you enjoy the taste of warm milk?

I fit partially into the stereotype mold. Loyalty wise, I regard loyalty as an absolute, you are or you are not, I'm not really a fellow for half measures. The travelling in packs business, well, I like good company, but I do like my own company as well, for the milk, that would depend on how it is served.

What male character from the novels do you think would fit best in Val'Cueran?

This is a difficult one, many of the characters fit some of the characteristics, but who has the proper haircut?

How long have you been a fan of the Wheel of Time series?

Since 2004.

How did you first get into the series?

I fell ill and couldn't read and came across the Audiobook versions, oops addicted.

Who is your favourite "hero"?

This varies from book to book, but most consistently it would be Siuan Sanche or Matt.

Favourite bad guy/gal?

Lanfear, her outburst at the docks was spectacular.

Favourite book and scene?

Book, that's probably going to be The Gathering Storm, Egwene in the Tower is awesome. My favourite scene is either, Matt kidnapping (and proposing to) Tuon or Egwene facing down Elaida at the sitters dinner. I love the bit about the Dark One being too embarrassed to own Elaida, that was priceless. Another one would be Nynaeve in the Borderlands talking to the Malkieri Merchant, "Lan told me once that Malkier lives so long as one man wears the hadori in pledge that he will fight the Shadow, so long as one woman wears the ki'sain in pledge that she will send her sons to fight the Shadow. I wear the ki'sain, Master Aldragoran. My husband wears the hadori" , that's probably the most hard hitting scene in the books for me.

If you were set down in Randland, who/what would you see yourself as? An Aes Sedai? Innkeeper? Seanchan Captain?

I think that I'd be inclined towards being a Warder.

How did you find TarValon.Net and what convinced you to stay and become Tower Sworn?

I came here from a link I found on Dragonmount when I was trawling the Web on the subject of the Wheel of time. I stay because of the community, here are a great bunch of people.

What do you do in "real life"?

Sadly I'm on the sick, lame and lazy list. I do some volunteer work in primary school, but only for very limited hours.

Do you have any hobbies?

I'm very interested in military history and figure painting, but when I'm well I add hill walking and archery to the list of hobbies.

What kind of music do you enjoy listening to?

This varies wildly according to my mood, but goes from Jazz and some country to Metal, just keep the Rap and hip hop stuff out of my hearing please.

What are some of your favourite movies/television shows?

TV: Poirot, Sherlock Holmes, Stargate, Pride and Prejudice, Persuasion. Films: Sherlock Holmes, The Mark of Zorro (1940 version), The day the earth stood still (1951 version), Glory, LOTR Trilogy, The Lake House, this list could go on to outrageous lengths.

Aside from The Wheel of Time, what are a few of your favourite books/series?

I like most books by Heinlein, Terry Pratchett and Jane Austen. Other series I enjoy are the Sherlock Holmes stories, some of the Horseclans books, the Regiment series by Alan Mallinson and again this list could go on and on. I also read a good many history books.

What profession did you want to have when you were a kid?

I wanted to be a pilot, aviation fascinated me as a youngster.
