The Great Hunt Timeline

This is a breakdown of the timeline and all the events happening in each chapter in The Great Hunt. The main story begins one month after the end of the events in The Eye of the World.

The following assumptions have been made:

• The Eye of the World ends around the end of the month of Adar, 998 NE, which would make the start of The Great Hunt around the end of the month of Saven or the beginning of the month of Amadaine. 1st Amadaine is chosen as the first day of the adventure
• Whenever there are multiple points of view in a chapter, it's assumed the events are happening at the same time, or at least closely together
• The time it takes the Amyrlin's ship from Medo to Tar Valon is assumed to be 7 days, as long as it takes Ingtar's group to get to the Portal Stone from Fal Dara
• Between returning to the Real from through the Portal Stone and stealing the Horn back from Fain, Rand, Loial and Hurin spend 5 days of waiting
• Nynaeve and Egwene spend 5 days between arriving in the Tower and Nynaeve's testing for Accepted
• Nynaeve and Elayne, Egwene and Min spend 3 weeks in Falme between Egwene's capture and her rescue

The following timeline shows characters and groups that got split in Chapters 9 (Ingtar group and Amyrlin's group) and 13 (Rand, Loial and Huring travel through a portal stone). The following colors were chosen to represent the different fractions:

- Ingtar's whole group;

- Amyrlin's group - Egwene and Nynaeve in particular;

- Rand, Loial and Hurin;

- Ingtar's group without Rand, Loial and Hurin, including Verin;

In total the events in The Great Hunt happen between late spring and late autumn in 998 NE, which equates to almost 7 months of that year.
