Overview

Members of the Outreach Activities (OA) Team hold staff positions in the Department of Community Outreach, working with and for our Outreach Activities Coordinator and Graphics Coordinator.

This is a rotating position with a term of six months

Chain of Command

The members of the Outreach Activities Team report to the Outreach Activities Coordinator

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in the planning, preparation and execution of our four annual freeweeks as well as other events. This can include coming up with ideas for activities, creating graphics, writing, etc.
  • Assist in running chats for events
  • Send out birthday greetings to our members
  • Create/alter graphics/avs, etc. under direction of the Outreach Activities Graphics Coordinator

Requirements

  • Must be able to spend approximately 2-3 hours a week on the boards for planning, and more hours as needed during events
  • Experience and skill with graphics, creative writing, leadership or event planning is a plus, but not an absolute necessity
  • Must be able to follow through with whatever tasks you volunteer for or are assigned to do.

History

This was previously known as the Online Events Team and was part of the Department of Community Development
