Appearance: Well short of her middle years, pretty with golden hair and emerald eyes. But she has a greedy mouth and her eyes are calculating. She always wears a lot of jewelry.
She is wily and untrustworthy, extremely greedy and a troublemaker. She is Roofmistress of Comarda Hold.
She always loved Couladin, but married Suladric when she was sixteen to become the wife of a Clan Chief and Roofmistress. When Suladric died, she latched onto Muradin until he didn't return from Rhuidean. She finally turned to Couladin and supported him as He Who Comes With the Dawn.
When he died, she took control of the Shaido acting as the Chief, but never intending to send another to Rhuidean. She was also accepted as a Wise One. She arranged for Desaine's death when she didn't support her. She plotted to kidnap Rand and have him as her husband, but eventually caused the Shaido to be scattered across the world by Sammael.
Now with the Jumai Sept and all the channeling Shaido Wise Ones in Amadicia, she wears rich wetlander clothes, with gems on every finger and rides horses. She also arranged for twice as many Mera'din as Jumai to follow her sept. Sevanna is being overthrown by Therava and Someryn.
She takes pride in having an Aes Sedai as a gai'shain and is annoyed when Galina is beaten so much that people might not realise who she is (KoD, Ch. 5).
She was accepted as a Wise One because she insisted she was ready to be treated as a Wise One (TGS, Ch. 26).
Perrin intends to hunt her down some day for what she did (ToM, Ch. 16).
Timeline
- Sevanna leads a large contingency of Shaido the Alcair Dal. There she meets Couladin and together they lead the Shaido from Alcair Dal before Rand returns.
- Sammael finds Sevanna in Kinslayer's Dagger and gives her a call box (LoC, Prologue). She and the Shaido establish themselves at Kinslayer's Dagger. (LoC, Ch. 17)
- Sevanna, Therava and Emerys show up at the Wise Ones' tents near Cairhien. Sevanna is now acknowledged as a Wise One (LoC, Ch. 32).
- Sevanna and her Wise Ones visit the Aes Sedai camp and view Rand. She plans to make him her husband. Later she has her Wise Ones murder Desaine (LoC, Ch. 53)
- Sevanna orders the Shaido Wise Ones to help in the attack on the Aes Sedai holding Rand at Dumai's Wells using the death of Desaine as incentive (ACoS, Prologue).

Sevanna rides by while Therava and Someryn inspect Faile and the other new gai'shain. She learns the identity of Alliandre and that she is sworn to Faile (WH, Ch. 4). Despite Therava's urgings, Sevanna is determined to stay put in the rich city of Malden. She has Faile punished for stealing a knife (CoT, Ch. 9).
