Jaq Lounalt

Jaq Lounalt was a Taraboner who was Arymilla's personal secretary, though in reality he acted as her private questioner and torturer (CoT, Ch. 15). After Amrymilla was captured, Sylvase took him on herself (KoD, Ch. 33). After freeing the Black Ajah prisoners, he was killed rather than allow him to be taken by Eleayn (ToM, Ch. 23, Ch. 24). He was lean and wears the customary Taraboner veil, moustaches and conical hat (CoT, Ch. 15.
Timeline
- He has questioned Naean. After this she is terrified of him (CoT, Ch. 15).
- Arymilla plans to turn Conail, Branlet, Perival and Catalyn over to him if she must to ensure their support, though she would consider it a pity with the younger ones (KoD, Ch. 17).
- Sylvase takes him on as her secretary and offers to turn Arymilla, Naean and Elenia over to him to gain their support for Elayne (KoD, Ch. 33).
- He frees Temaile, Eldrith and Hanlon but is knocked unconscious (ToM, Ch. 23).
- He is found dead with a knife in his back (ToM, Ch. 24).
