Chesmal is one of the thirteen Aes Sedai of the Black Ajah able to flee the White Tower with ''ter'angreal'' in their possession. Later, when Moghedien assumed control over the group with Liandrin, Chesmal is ordered to hunt for Nynaeve. Although terrified of the Foraken, she Healed Moghedien, who had been wounded in ''Tel'aran'rhiod'' by Brigitte. Chesmal left Samara and went to Caemlyn to find Elayne and Nynaeve.

With Sarene and Damer, she defended Rand and Nynaeve at Shadar Logoth and successfully defeated Demandred.

She fled Ebou Dar with Mat, and they took refuge in Valan Luca's circus. While she was contained in a wagon with two other Aes Sedai and three ''sul'dam'', she sensed massive channeling to the north. She channels freely, despite Mat's warnings that the Seanchen will find them. She also disregarded Mat's warnings when she walked with Bethamin and Seta in Jurador, which exposed her ageless face. She was last mentioned in Jurador.

When Egwene proposed to turn Tar Valon's harbor chains to ''cuendillar'', she advised against it.

For the negotiations with the Andorans and Murandians, she gave Egwene fine clothing and jewels as befits the Amyrlin; it is unsurprising that she became furious when Egwene contradicted her wishes during the meeting. In the vote for war between the two Towers, she votes against it and is one of the last to vote for an alliance with the Black Tower. She disliked Sheriam's group, believing that they had too much influence with the Sitters. After Egwene, both she and Lelaine were the strongest Aes Sedai in the rebel Tower, and she swayed Magla, Soroiya, and Varilin to follow her lead. She opposed Lelaine, frequently vying with her over significant issues and small; most notably, both began a power struggle in Egwene's absence. Beldemaine: An Arafellin who was with the rebels. She witnessed Nynaeve Heal Siuan and Leane of their stilling, which has great significance to her.

Berenicia Morsad: Aa Shienarian who was a member of the rebel embassy sent to Rand. She is tasked with escorting the prospective novices from the Two Rivers to the rebel Tower.

Catala Lucanvalle: The Amyrlin Seat from the year 197 NE, until her death in 223 NE.

Celestin: One of the women sent by the rebels to spread rumours of Logain and the Red Ajah in the White Tower.

Chesmal Emry: Both a sister of the Yellow and Black Ajahs; the other sisters that form her heart are Amico and Rianna. Though Moghedien calls it "some small ability with Healing", Chesmal is considered one of the most talented Healers in years. She was captured by Elayne and killed trying to escape custody.

Corele Hovian: A Murandian who aligned herself with Cadsuane and accompanies her everywhere from their first meeting. She bonded Damer Flinn, an Asha'man who is a talented Healer. With Sarene and Damer, she defended Rand and Nynaeve at Shadar Logoth and successfully defeated Demandred.

Dagdara Finchey: A rebel Aes Sedai with an extensive knowledge of Healing. She was revealed to be Black Ajah.

Desandre: Part of Elaida's envoy to the Black Tower. After Toveine lets Desandre and Lemai take over the lead, Desandre ordered the other Aes Sedai to be cordial with their respective Asha'man in hopes of lulling them into trust.

Doesine Alwain: A Yellow Sitter who voted to depose Siuan. She became part of a group hunting the Black Ajah and after reunification was one of Egwene's strongest supporters. She was killed in the Last Battle.

Edesina Azzedin: A rebel Aes Sedai, sent as an emmissary to Tarabon with Afara and Guisin, she was taken as damane and kenneled in the attic of the Tarasin Palace in Ebou Dar. She was rescued by Mat and returned to the White Tower after travelling with him.

Farellien: A woman who remained in the White Tower after Siuan's deposing. At Alviarin's urging she, Doraise, and Kiyoshi are rewarded with a fine horse each; they had been exemplory models of preserving the law. This favoritism by Elaida created strife and discord among the Ajahs.

Gelarna: An Aes Sedai of the Yellow Ajah who remained with the Tower during the split. She is short. She was present when a bubble of evil caused Leane's cell to begin to melt.

Larissa Lyndel: A woman who joined the rebel Aes Sedai in Salidar. She is later revealed as Black Ajah.

Ludice Daneen: One of the women chosen by Tamra to search for the Dragon Reborn, she was the fourth seeker to leave the Tower; the Black Ajah murdered her shortly after. She had worn the shawl over an hundred years.

Magla Daronos: A Sitter before the breaking of the White Tower, she was sent to Salidar and took up a seat there, siding with Romanda against Lelaine on most issues. She retained her Seat after reunification.

Marasale Jureen: The Amyrlin Seat from 705 NE until her death in 732 NE.

Meramor: One of the few in the Yellow Ajah who accepted Nynaeve when she returned to the White Tower.

Musarin: An Aes Sedai of the Yellow Ajah who remained with the Tower during the split. She is short. She was present when a bubble of evil caused Leane's cell to begin to melt.

Narenwin Barda: An Aes Sedai who remained with the Tower. As the eyes-and-ears of the Yellow Ajah asked Ronde Macura to report on Nynaeve and Elayne or capture them, if possible.

Niere: One of the few in the Yellow Ajah who accepted Nynaeve when she returned to the White Tower.

Nisao Dachen: One of the rebel Aes Sedai. After Egwene discovered her complicity in Myrelle taking Lan's bond, she swore fealty to Egwene for protection.

Nynaeve al'Meara: A woman, formerly of Emond's Field, but now of the Yellow Ajah, bonded and married to al'Lan Mandragoran. She is extremely strong in the Power and a talented Healer. During the Last Battle she was one of two Aes Sedai who went with Rand to the Pit of Doom.

Pritalle Nerbaijan: A Saldaean, but with only a slight Saldaean nose and green eyes. She is loyal to Elaida and the White Tower, and is noted as having no Warder. She is close with Atuan, another Yellow sister who was also of the Black Ajah.

Romanda Cassin: A former Sitter and Head of the Yellow Ajah who came out of retirement to join the rebels after the split, in hopes of gaining the Amyrlin Seat. She is strong in the Power and as old as Cadsuane and retains her seat after reunificaition. She was killed in the Last Battle.

Rosil: The Mistress of Novices after reunification.

Ryma Galfrey: An Aes Sedai captured by the Seanchan at Falme, leashed as da'mane, and renamed Pura. Egwene meets her when she is captured, and asks her to remember her name, but she had been broken after fighting her sul'dam and the a'dam.

Salita Toranes: An Aes Sedai who joined the rebels and was chosen as a Sitter in the expectation she could be pushed aside after the Tower was reunited. She steps down after reunificaion.

Samitsu Tamagowa: A companion of Cadsuane who does not choose a side in the split. She is an extremely talented Healer using the traditional method.

Sedore Dajenna: A Sitter before the breaking of the Tower, she retained her Seat in the White Tower. A member of the Black Ajah, she fled with the other Black sisters when Egwene was appointed Amyrlin.

Shanelle: A woman who joined the rebel Aes Sedai after the breaking of the Tower. She was a witness when Nynaeve Healed Siuan and Leane.

Shemerin: A woman who became a part of Elaida's Council after the split. When Elaida recognized Rand al'Thor as the Dragon Reborn, she collapsed and began weeping. As an example for her weakness, Elaida arrested her and demoted her to Accepted, which was against Tower law. Shemerin fled the White Tower after this and took up work as a washer woman in the rebel camp.

Suana Dragand, as Head of the Yellow Ajah, is called First Weaver by Yellow sisters. She served as Sitter for forty years before she stepped down; when the Tower breaks she chooses to remain in Tar Valon and reclaims her Seat in the Hall. She sends Magla to the Rebels to slow down their progress.

Talva: A member of the Black Ajah killed in Tel'ran'rhiod.

Therva Maresis: One of the rebels sent to investigate the One Power eruption; they found only a crater where Shadar Logoth once was. She saw huge quantities of both saidar and saidin that were used to form unknown weaves. They returned to the rebel Tower and she reported the findings to the Hall.

Yuan: A woman who represented the Yellow Ajah during Moiraine's testing for the shawl. She was displeased with Elaida because of the sister's attempt to cause Moiraine's failure during the last stage of the test.

Zenare Ghodar: A woman who joined the rebel Aes Sedai in Salidar. She witnessed Nynaeve Heal Siuan and Leane, and was one of those who demanded repeated demonstrations of the weave afterward.
