List of Sitters

Characters who have served as sitters for either of the factions of the White Tower.

Aledrin: A sitter for the White Ajah for the rebels, the second youngest of the Sitters chosen in Salidar. She is one of the Aes Sedai who goes to the Black Tower to bond an Asha'man.

Amira Moselle: An Aes Sedai of the Red Ajah and Mistress of Novices under Sierin Vayu. She was killed at Dumai's Wells shortly after stepping down

Andaya Forae: An Aes Sedai of the Gray Ajah, chosen as sitter to replace Varilin. She was a little young to be a Sitter, but kept her seat after Evanallein fled.

Anlee: A sitter of the Blue Ajah when Moiraine and Siuan were newly raised

Barasine: A Sitter for the Red Ajah, chosen to replace Duhara after the Tower reunification.

Berana: A young Sitter for the White Ajah chosen in Salidar. She steps down after reunification.

Delana Mosalaine: A young Sitter for the Gray Ajah chosen in Salidar. She flees to avoid being exposed as a member of the Black Ajah and is balefired by Rand at Natrin's Barrow.

Doesine Alwain: A Sitter who voted for Siuan's removal and stilling. She keeps her seat after reunification and is killed in the Last Battle.

Duhara Basaheen: A Sitter for the Red Ajah chosen during the split, to replace either Elaida or Teslyn. She had previously been Keeper of the Chronicles for Sierin Vayu. She is exposed as a member of the Black Ajah and killed during the Last Battle.

Eadyth: The Head of the Blue Ajah and a Sitter at the time of the Aiel War

Elaida do Avriny a'Roihan: A woman who replaced Amira as Sitter and used the opportunity to overthrow Siuan and have herself raised Amyrlin. She almost led the Tower to ruin before being captured by the Seanchan.

Escaralde: A Sitter for the Brown Ajah chosen in Salidar who stepped down after reunificaition.

Evanellein: A Sitter for the Gray Ajah who voted for Siuan to be deposed and fled just before the Tower was reunited to avoid being exposed as Black Ajah. She was later killed in tel'aran'rhiod

Faiselle: A Sitter of the Green not involved in the decision to depose Siuan who was sent to Salidar to try and slow the rebels down and regained her seat after reunificaition.

Farnah: A woman chosen as Sitter for the Green after reunification to replace Talene.

Ferane Neheran: The head of the White Ajah who named herself Sitter during the split and kept the seat after reunification when

Janya Frende: A Sitter for the Brown Ajah not involved in the vote to depose Elaida who joined the rebels of her own accord and kept her seat after reunification

Jarna Malari: The head of the Black Ajah and Sitter for the Gray. She was killed by Ishamael for trying to have the Dragon Reborn killed

Javindhra Doraille: A Sitter for the Red Ajah chosen during the split, to replace either Elaida or Teslyn. She is sent out of the Tower by Tsutama to the Black Tower to bond Asha'man and replaced by one of the Connoral sisters. She was turned to the Shadow by Taim

Joline Maza: A Sitter for the Green Ajah chosen to replace Faiselle. She is sent to Ebou Dar by Elaida and smuggled out by Mat

Juilaine Madome: A Sitter for the Brown Ajah chosen in Saldar who was too young to be a Sitter and stepped down after reunificaition.

Kwamesa: A sitter for the Gray Ajah chosen in Saldar who was too young to be a Sitter and stepped down after reunificaition

Lelaine Akashi: A Sitter for the Blue Ajah in Salidar and after reunificaiton.

Lirene Doirellin: A Sitter for the Red Ajah shortly after the Aiel War, exciled for her role in hunting down men who could channel.

Lyrelle: A Sitter for the Blue Ajah in Salidar and after reunificaiton. She is one of the women sent to the Black Tower to bond Asha'man.

Magla Daronos: A Sitter for the Yellow Ajah who was not involved in deposing Siuan and was sent to Salidar to try and slow down the rebels

Malind Nachenin: A Sitter for the Green Ajah chosen in Salidar who was too young to be a Sitter under normal circumstances and stepped down after reunification.

Moria Karentanis: A Sitter for the Blue Ajah in Salidar who was exposed as a member of the Black Ajah and executed.

Naorisa Cambral: An Aes Sedai of the Gray Ajah who replaces Delanna as a Sitter for the rebels and steps down after the Tower is reunited.

Pevara Tazanovni: An Aes Sedai chosen as a Red Sitter to replace the three who were exiled for having boys who could channel killed. She was involved in the hunt for the Black Ajah and was sent out of the Tower to the Black Tower to find Asha'man to bond. She bonded, and was bonded by Androl Genhald

Raechin Connoral: An Aes Sedai of the Red Ajah chosen with her sister to replace the absent Sitters Pevara and Javhindra.

Rina Hafden: A woman chosen as a Sitter in the Tower during the split who stepped down after reunification. She is Elyas's Aes Sedai.

Romanda Cassin: A woman who had previously held a seat in the Hall for eighty years before going into retirement. She joins the rebels and takes on the roe of Head of the Yellow and takes up a seat again, retaining it after reunification. She was killed by Sharans in the Last Battle.

Rubinde: A Sitter for the Green who voted to depose Siuan and kept her seat after reunification.

Saerin Asnobar: A Sitter for the Brown who voted to depose Siuan. During the split, she starts to hunt the Black Ajah, and after reunification retains her seat

Salita Toranes: A woman chosen as a Sitter for the Yellow Ajah in Salidar, despite being too young She steps down after reunification.

Samalin: A woman chosen as a Sitter for the Green Ajah in Salidar, despite being too young She steps down after reunification.

Saroiya: A Sitter for the White Ajah who did not vote to depose Siuan and was sent to Salidar to join the rebels. She retained her seat after reunification.

Seaine Herimon: A Sitter for the White Ajah who initially proposed Siuan for Amyrlin and did not vote for her to be deposed. She stayed in the Tower during the split and along with several other Sitters started a Black Ajah hunt. She retained her seat after reunification.

Sedore Dajenna: An Aes Sedai of the Yellow Ajah who voted to depose Siuan and retained her seat during the split. She fled to avoid exposure as Black Ajah shortly before reunification

Shevan: An Aes Sedai of the Brown Ajah chosen to replace Janya during the split. Despite not being too young, she steps down to allow Janya to reclaim her seat after reunification.

Suana Dragand: The head of the Yellow Ajah who names herself as a Sitter during the split, despite having served for forty years previously. She steps down after reunification to allow Romanda to take a seat.

Takima: An Aes Sedai of the Brown Ajah who did not vote for Elaida to be deposed and was sent to Salidar to join the rebels. She retains her seat after reunification.

Talene Minly: An Aes Sedai of the Green Ajah who voted for Siuan to be deposed. She was exposed as a Black Ajah during the split.

Teslyn Baradon: An Aes Sedai of the Red Ajah who supported Elaida for Amyrlin, but was sent to Ebou Dar, where she was captured by the Seanchan before being freed by Mat Cauthon. She does not find the Tower to her liking on her return and fights alongside the Dragonsworn during the Last Battle

Toveine Gazal: An Aes Sedai of the Red Ajah exiled for her her role in the Red Ajah's hunting down men who could channel. Elaida brings her back from exile and sets her to lead the attack on the Black Tower, where she is captured and bonded by Logain. She is turned to the Shadow by Taim.

Tsutama Rath An Aes Sedai of the Red Ajah exiled for her her role in the Red Ajah's hunting down men who could channel. Elaida brings her back from exile and she replaces Galina as the Head of the Red Ajah.

Varilin: An Aes Sedai of the Gray Ajah who did not vote to depose Siuan and was sent to Salidar to join them. She retains her seat after reunification,

Velina Behar: An Aes Sedai of the White Ajah who voted to depose Siuan and fled the Tower before Egwene was raised to avoid being exposed as Black Ajah.

Viria Connoral An Aes Sedai of the Red Ajah chosen with her sister to replace the absent Sitters Pevara and Javhindra.

Yukiri: An Aes Sedai of the Gray Ajah who voted to depose Siuan. During the split, she joins in the hunt for Black Ajah and retains her seat after reunification.
