Dael al'Taron: A man from the Two Rivers, Andor. He is killed by Trollocs.

Daelvin: The innkeeper of 'The Golden Stag' in Maerone, Cairhien.

Daerid: Cairhienen soldier, commander of the foot soldiers in the Band. No noble would want to command infantry, which is fortunate, as he is very capable.

Daerilla Raened: A noblewoman from Andor; her sign if five silver stars.

Dag Coplin (1): A resident of Emond's Field described as wrinkled and grey.

Dag Coplin (2): A boy from Emond's Field; Mat recalls playing tricks on him.

Dagdara Finchey: An Aes Sedai of the Yellow Ajah who sides with the rebels.

Dagendra: An Aiel Maiden of the Spear. She has a "blocky" frame.

Daigian Moseneillin: White Aes Sedai from Cairhien with Cadsuane. Very weak in the power, only just strong enough to qualify as Aes Sedai. Took Eben as her first Warder

Dailin (1): An Aiel Maiden of the Spear of the Nine Valleys sept of the Taardad Aiel. She is Aviendha's second-sister (cousin).

Dailin (2): A Wise One of an unknown sept of the Shaido Aiel.

Dain Bornhald: Whitecloak and son of Geoffram Bornhald. Hates Perrin, whom he blames for his father's death and considers a darkfriend, despite all the evidence to the contrary gained during Perrin's defense of the Two Rivers.

Dairaine Saighin: a Cairhienin noblewoman taken as gai'shain by the Shaido; she tries to gain favor with Sevanna by telling tales about the other gai'shain.

Daise Congar: Wife of Wit Congar, ill reputed citizen of Emond's Field known for causing trouble and spreading rumours. She becomes the Wisdom after Nynaeve leaves.

Dalaine Ndaye: Raised from the Gray Ajah, she was the Amyrlin Seat from 36-64 NE.

Dalar: An Ogier female who onces spent 10 years outside of the Stedding.

Dalevien: An Aes Sedai of the Brown Ajah who sides with Elaida; she guards Leane after she is captured turning the Tar Valon harbor gate into cuendilalr.

Dali: A Seanchan woman who is one of Tuon's damane. She is sister to Dani.

Dalthanes Annallin: A nobleman from Cairhien.

Damelle: An Ogier female. Her mother is Ala, and her grandmother is Soferra. She is an author.

Damer Flinn: One of the Asha'man. Skilled at healing, which he learned himself, based on the little Taim taught him. Previously in the Andoran army. Bonded to Corele as her Warder, though it is unclear who is in charge in the relationship.

Danelle: Aes Sedai of the brown ajah who was heavily involved in Elaida's coup.

Dani: A Seanchan woman who is one of Tuon's damane. She is sister to Dali.

Danil: a boy who is a few months old at the end of the Aiel War; his mother brings him to Moiraine in hopes of receiving the bounty.

Danine Candraed: High Seat of House Candraed in Andor; she cannot make up her mind whether to support Elayne or not, despite visits from Dyelin and Reanne Corly.

Dannil Lewin: A boy from the Two Rivers, Andor. He is only thirteen. He is part of Perrin's group.

Dar: A man from Baerlon, Caemlyn. He works at the Caemlyn Gate.

Dara: A woman who lives in the city of Tear. She works in the Stone of Tear as one of the cook's helpers.

Darea Candwin: Girl from Emond's Field with the ability to channel. Taken by Verin Sedai and Alanna Sedai to Salidar.

Daria Gahand: An author/philosopher. She wrote 'Essays on Reason.'

Daricain Annallin: A nobleman from Cairhien; his con is small squares of red and black.

Darin: A Stone Dog from the Moshaine sept of the Shaido clan. Son of the sept chief Maeric.

Darl Coplin: Member of the Coplin family, which is intermarried with the Congar family, same behavior and reputation. Brother to Hari Coplin.

Darlin Sisnera: One of the Tairen High Lords who fled the stone after Rand took it and raised rebellion. Fated to marry Caraline Damodred and probably to become Tear's first king. Helped Rand survive an attack by Padan Fain. In some ways, though, a typical Tairen noble. Currently steward of Tear under Rand.

Darnella Shoran: A woman from Ebou Dar, Altara. She is the innkeeper of The Golden Swans of Heaven.

Dav Ayellin: A boy from Emond's Field. He is one of Mat's friends.

Daved Hanlon: Aka. Doilan Mellar. A Darkfriend who works for Rhavin/Gaebril

Davian: A false Dragon circa FY 351. He could channel.

Daviena: An Aiel woman. She is a Wise One and a weak channeler.

Davindra: A woman from Ebou Dar, Altara. She is married to Nevin.

Davram Bashere: A Lord from Saldaea; he is Queen Tenobia's uncle and Faile's father; he is married to Deira Bashere.

Dawlin Armaghn: a minor Andor nobleman who is loyal to Naean Arawn.

Deain: A historical Aes Sedai from Seanchan. She is the one who invented the a'dam. After the invention, she was collared.

Dealda: Youngest sister of Jaichim Carridin. She was killed by a Fade.

Deane Aryman: An Amyrlin who reigned from FY 992 until FY 1084. She was raised from the Blue Ajah, after Bonwhin was deposed. She was a very strong Amyrlin, and saved the White Tower after Bonwhin's death. She was killed by a fall from a horse.

Dedric: A Red Shield from the Jaeren Rift sept of the Codarra clan.

Deindre: A historical Aes Sedai. She lived during the Breaking of the World and had the ability of Foretellng. One of her foretellings was the reason that the Eye of the World was built.

Deira Bashere: Davram Bashere's wife. Strange woman, she never gives Rand any sort of title

Deirdru: a noblewoman who owns a country house in Altara; she is killed by Semirhage.

Delana Mosalaine: Shienaran Aes Sedai of the Gray and Black Ajahs. Member of Egwene's Hall. Once a friend of Siuan. Arangar, under the name Halima acts as her secretary.

Delora: An Aiel woman. She is a Wise One.

Demandred: One of the Forsaken. His real name was Barid Bel Medar. He is very jealous of and deeply hates Lews Therin.

Demetre Marcolin: A man from Illian. He is the First Captain of the Illianer Companions.

Demira Eriff: Aes Sedai of the Brown Ajah from Arad Domon and bonded to Stevan. She is one of the Salidar Aes Sedai.

Dena: A woman from Cairhien. She is Thom's apprentice and lover. She is murdered by Galldrian's men.

Denal: A man from Ebou Dar, Altara.

Denharad: A man from Cairhien. He is a Lance-Captain and serves Ailil Riatin.

Deni Colford: A woman from Andor. She used to be a tavern bouncer, and is now a member of the Queen's Guard.

Derah din Selaan Rising Wave: A Sea Folk woman. She is the Sailmistress of the White Spray.

Dermid Ajala: A blacksmith from Tear.

Dermon: An ancient Aiel; one of the Jenn Aiel. He lived during the building of Rhuidean.

Derne: Captain of the Swift.

Derowin: A Cairhienin noble. During their childhood, he and Toram Riatin were friends. He was pushed down the stairs by Toram Riatin after he borrowed Toram's horse without permission; this caused him to break his neck.

Deryl: A man from Ebou Dar, Altara. He works as a guard in a ring shop.

Derys: A member of the Kin. She works as a maid.

Desala Nervanche: Aes Sedai who sides with Elaida; she is one of the sisters who captures Leane when Leane is turning the Northarbor gate into cuendillar.

Desaine: An Aiel woman from the Shaido Clan. She is a Wise One. She is murdered on Sevanna's orders.

Desandre: Aes Sedai of the Yellow Ajah. She sides with Elaida. She is one of the Aes Sedai sent to the Black Tower.

Deselle Aybara: One of Perrin's sisters. She is murdered by Padan Fain.

Desora: A Maiden of the Spear of the Musara Reyn. She has blonde hair.

Devore Zarbayan: a Bannerwoman in the Queen's Guard, originally from Saldaea.

Dhael: An Aiel woman. She is a Maiden of the Spear.

Dhearic: Clan chief of the Reyn Aiel.

Dilham: A man from Caemlyn, Andor. He is the innkeeper of Culain's Hound.

Dill: A woman from Harlon Bridge, Andor. She is an innkeeper.

Dimana: A member of the Kin. She is a seamstress.

Dimir Faral: A Whitecloak who is loyal to Padan Fain. He is one of the Whitecloaks who tries to assassinate Rand; Rand sends him back to Pedron Niall with a message after hanging his companions.

Diryk: One of Queen Ethenielle of Kandor's sons. He is killed by Merean, an Aes Sedai of the Black Ajah, in New Spring.

Dobraine Tarborwin: Cairhienin lord who swore fealty when Rand drove the Shaido from Cairhien. Unlike many of the Cairhienin and Tairen who have sworn fealty, Dobraine intends to keep his oaths. He led the Cairhienin who went to rescue Rand when Galina kidnapped him, excepting to die in the attempt. Was attacked in an attempt to recover the seals by darkfriends.

Doesine: Aes Sedai of the Yellow Ajah who stays loyal to Elaida and the White Tower. She is a Sitter, and is from Cairhien.

Doilan: An Aiel man of the Shaido Clan. He is taken as gai'shain.

Doile: A man from Cairhien. He is a soldier, and is loyal to Bertome Saighan.

Doilin Mellar: when he saves Elayne's life, he is made the Captain of the Queen's Bodyguard. In reality he is Daved Hanlon, a Darkfriend.

Doirellin: a Whitecloak from Cairhien; after Galad kills Eamon Valda, he says that the Whitecloaks must fight the Seanchan and in the Last Battle...even if they have to ally with Aes Sedai.

Doirmanes: a Cairhien nobleman taken as gai'shain by the Shaido.

Domeille: An Aiel woman. She is a Maiden of the Spear.

Donalo Sandomere: An Asha'man who holds the rank of Dedicated. He is one of the men that sides with Logain.

Donel do Morny a'Lordeine: A nobleman from Murandy.

Dongol: a member of the Band of the Red Hand.

Doni: a street urchin in Tear who tells Rand about the steamwagons being used to haul things.

Doniella Alievin: Raised from the Brown Ajah, she was the Amyrlin Seat from 306-332 NE.

Donjel: a Domani scout for Rodel Ituralde; when Ituralde meets under the White Ribbon, he entrusts a letter to be given to his wife if he dies to Donjel.

Dorailla: An Aiel woman of the Shaido clan. She is a Wise One.

Doraise Mesianos: Aes Sedai of the Brown Ajah who stays loyal to Elaida and the White Tower.

Doral Barran: A woman from Emond's Field, Andor. She was the Wisdom before Nynaeve.

Doreille Torghin: the Queen of Aridhol who signed the Compact of the Ten Nations in 209 AB.

Dorele: A Sea Folk woman. She works on the Wavedancer.

Doressin Chuliandred: A nobleman from Cairhien. He supporter of Colavaere.

Dorile din Eiran Long Feather: A Sea Folk woman. She is both the Windfinder on the ship Windrunner, and of the Clan Somarin.

Dorindha (1): An Aiel woman from the Goshien Clan. She is the wife of Bael, sister-wife of Melaine, and mother to three boy children. Dorindha is the Roofmistress of Smoke Springs Hold.

Dorindha (2): An Aiel woman of the Jindo sept of the Taardad Aiel. She is a Maiden of the Spear.

Dormin: a Cairhien bootmaker taken as gai'shain by the Shaido; he swears fealty to Faile in hopes of escaping.

Dosera: An Aiel woman of the Shaido Clan. She is killed by a wolf at Dumai's Wells.

Duhara: An Aes Sedai and Sitter of the Red Ajah. She is loyal to the White Tower and Elaida. She is described as having large dark eyes and dark coppery skin.

Dulain: A historical minor lord from Murandy. Around 996 NE, he supported by the Aes Sedai as a candidate to unite the nation of Murandy. He was killed by an Andoran farmer.

Dumera Alman: An Aes Sedai in 47 AB during the building of Tar Valon; she negotiated for her then-independent group of Aes Sedai on how all the Aes Sedai would come together to centralize their power, namely by building the city of Tar Valon and the White Tower. She is probably the founder of one of the seven Ajahs, as they exist in the Tower today.

Dunsinin: A historical character who is in love with Rogosh Eagle-eye.

Duranda Tharne: A woman from Lugard, Murandy. She is the innkeeper of The Good Night's Ride. Duranda is a spy for the Blue Ajah.

Dyelin Taravin: Andoran noble. Regent in Elayne's absence and supported for the throne by many of the powerful houses. Pledged support to Elayne on her arrival in Caemlyn.

Dyrele: An Aiel woman of the Moshaine sept of the Shaido Aiel. She is also the Roofmistress of the Moshaine. She is married to Maeric, the sept chief. She has a son, Darin, and a daughter, Suraile.
