Daigian Moseneillin: An Aes Sedai of the White Ajah; one of Cadsuane's followers. She is very weak. She is a lesser noblewoman from Cairhien. She is killed by Shaidar Haran when holding the shield on Semirhage

Dailin (1): A Maiden of the Spear of the Nine Valleys Taardad Aiel; Aviendha's second-sister. She is killed in 'The Dragon Reborn'.

Dailin (2): A Wise One of the Shaido Aiel.

Dain Bornhald: A Lord Captain of the Children of the Light; Geofram Bornhald's son. He is originally from Tarabon.

Dairaine Saighan: A noblewoman from Cairhien; she is held gai'shain by the Shaido.

Daise Congar: A woman from Emond's Field, Andor; Wit Congar's wife. She is the Wisdom of Emond's Field.

Dalaine Ndaye: A historical character. She was an Amrylin Seat raised from the Gray Ajah.

Dalar: An Ogier; after spending too much time Outside, she becomes an invalid.

Dalevien: An Aes Sedai of the Brown Ajah; she is aligned with the White Tower.

Dali: A damane from Seanchan. Her sister is Dani. She is sent on the Tower raid, along with her sul'dam Malahavna

Danine Candraed: A noblewoman from Andor; she is the High Seat of her House.

Dannil Lewin: A man from the Two Rivers, Andor; he is Ban al'Seen and Tell Lewin's cousin. He commands the Two Rivers army.

Dar: A man from Andor; he is a gateman at the Caemlyn Gate in Baerlon.

Dara: A woman from Tear; she is a cook's helper in the Stone of Tear.

Darea Candwin: A novice aligned with the rebel Aes Sedai. She is among the Two Rivers girls Alanna Mosvani and Verin Mathwin want to enroll in the novice book, but a group of Aes Sedai of the original Salidar embassy end up escorting them to the rebel camp.

Darl Coplin: A man from Emond's Field, Andor; he is a farmer. He is Hari Coplin's brother.

Darlin Sisnera: The king of Tear, formerly in open rebellion against Rand.

Darnella Shoran: A woman from Altara; she is the innkeeper of The Golden Swans of Heaven in Ebou Dar.

Daruo: A member of the Deathwatch guard in Tuon's personal bodyguard

Darvan: A fictional character; he is one of Min's made-up suitors to justify "seeking refuge" in the White Tower.

Dav al'Thone: A man from the Two Rivers who guarded Rand's tent

Dav Ayellin: A young man from Emond's Field.

Daved Hanlon: A Darkfriend; in the beginning he was one of Gaebril's White Lions, and then became a member of the Queen's Guard. Elayne soon became suspicious of him and had the Guardswomen arrest him. He later escapes.

Davian: A historical character; he was a false Dragon.

Daviena: A Wise One.

Davindra: A woman from Altara; she lives in Ebou Dar. Her husband was Nevin.

Davram Bashere: The Marshal-General of Saldaea and the Lord of Bashere, Tyr and Sidona. He is Queen Tenobia's uncle and married to Deira Bashere. He is Maedin and Zarine's father. He follows the Dragon Reborn and builds an army of those men who come to the Black Tower, but cannot channel.

Dawlin Armaghan: A nobleman from a minor House in Andor. He is loyal to Naean Arawn.

Dealda: Jaichim Carridin's youngest sister; she is carried away by a Myrddraal from her bridal feast for Carridin's failure to kill Rand.

Deane Aryman: A historical character; she was an Amyrlin Seat raised from the Blue Ajah. She held the Tower together after the near ruin Bonwhin had caused. She was born in Salidar.

Deirdru: A minor noblewoman from Altara. She was probably killed by Semirhage.

Delana Mosalaine: An Aes Sedai of the Gray Ajah; she is also Black Ajah. She is aligned with the rebel Aes Sedai and is a Sitter in their Hall. Aran'gar is disguised as Delana's secretary Halima Saranov. She was balefired at Natrin's Barrow

Delarn: A soldier in the Band of the Red Hand, one of the best of the Redarms who is in the group that goes into Hinderstap.

Delora: A Wise One; she is one of the six Wise Ones to accompany Perrin to Ghealdan.

Demira Eriff: An Aes Sedai of the Brown Ajah; she sides with the rebel Aes Sedai. She is sent to Rand in the Salidar embassy. She is bonded to Stevan and is originally from Arad Doman.

Dena: A woman from Cairhien; she was Thom's lover and wanted to be the first gleewoman. She is killed by King Galldrian's men in The Great Hunt.

Denezel: An Innkeeper in Caemlyn who is almost Dragonsworn

Denharad: A man from Cairhien; he is Lance-Captain of Ailil Riatin's armsmen.

Deni Colford: A Guardswoman; she was previously a tavern bouncer.

Dennel: A captain in the Band of the Red Hand

Denton: A minor Cairhienin lord, taken gai'shain by the Shaido and freed by Perrin

Derah din Selaan Rising Wave: An Atha’an Miere; she is the Sailmistress of a ship called the White Spray.

Dermid Ajala: A man from Tear; he is a blacksmith.

Dermon: A historical character; he was a Jenn Aiel during the construction of Rhuidean. He was among the Jenn to prepare the Aiel sept chiefs to keep the history of the Aiel alive.

Derne: Captain of the Swift.

Derowin: A man from Cairhien; he was a childhood friend of Toram Riatin. Toram broke his neck when he rode his favorite horse without permission.

Derry: A member of the Band of the Red Hand, killed by the gholam

Deryl: A man from Altara; he is a guard in a ring shop in Ebou Dar.

Derys Nermala: A Kinswoman.

Desaine: A Wise One of the Shaido Aiel; she was killed because she was a threat to Sevanna's authority.

Desala Nevanche: An Aes Sedai of the Red Ajah, and is therefore aligned with Elaida. She is originally from Cairhien. She is one of the Aes Sedai in Pevara's group who go to the Black Tower to bond Asha'man.

Desandre: An Aes Sedai of the Yellow Ajah; she is aligned with the White Tower. She was an Accepted during 'New Spring.'

Desartin: A Murandian lord overthrown by his own people

Desautel: An Asha'man who found Sakarnen for Logain

Deselle Aybara: A young woman from Emond's Field, Andor; she was Joslyn and Con Aybara's daughter, and Adora, Paet and Perrin's sister. She is killed by Fain in 'The Shadow Rising.'

Desora: A Maiden of the Spear of the Musara Reyn. She sacrifices herself to save Rand from a crossbow bolt in 'Lord of Chaos.'

Devore Zarbayan: A woman from Saldaea; she is a Bannerwoman of the Queen's Guard.

Dhael: A Maiden of the Spear.

Dhana: A to'raken used by Mat to get to the Pit of Doom

Dhearic: The clan chief of the Reyn Aiel; he was previously a Water Seeker.

Diryk Noremaga: A boy from Kandor; the son of Brys and Ethenielle's son. He has two sisters and for brother, Jarene and Antol among them. He is killed by Merean in 'New Spring.'

Dobraine Taborwin: A nobleman from Cairhien and High Seat of House Taborwin. He is Rand's Steward in Cairhien, but was used by Rand to try and bring order to Arad Doman and then in Tear.

Dobser: An Asha'man turned to the Shadow

Doesine Alwain: An Aes Sedai of the Yellow Ajah; she is aligned with the White Tower, where she is a Sitter in the Hall. She is one of the hunters for the Black Ajah, alongside Pevara, Seaine, Saerin and Yukiri.

Doilan: A Shaido warrior, who is being held gai'shain.

Doile: A soldier from Cairhien; he is loyal to Bertome Saighan.

Donjel: A soldier from Arad Doman; he is one of Rodel Ituralde's scouts.

Doreille: A queen of Aridhol, known as a poet. It is unlikely she is Doreille Torghin the first queen as Mat has a memory of her.

Dorele: A woman of the Atha'an Miere; she is a crewmember on the Wavedancer.

Dumera Alman: A historical character. She was an Aes Sedai who lived shortly after the Breaking of the World.

Dunsinin: A historical character; she was Rogosh Eagle-eye's love.

Duram Laddel Cham: Be'lal's name before turning to the Shadow.

Duranda Tharne: A woman from Murandy; she is the innkeeper of The Good Night's Ride in Lugard. She is one of the Blue Ajah's eyes-and-ears.

Durhem: A cavalry leader with Rodel

Durnham: A Domani recruited by Rand to head the reformed city guard in Bandar Eban

Durrent: A man who acts as Perrin's serving man while Lamgwin is absent

Dyelin Taravin: A noblewoman from Andor and High Seat of House Taravin. She supports Elayne in her claim for the Lion Throne.
