Laandon: A soldier of the Band sent with Faile and the Horn

Lacel: An Ogier man.

Lacile Aldorwin: A young noblewoman from Cairhien; a member of Cha Faile. She is taken gai'shain by the Shaido. Later, she and the others are freed by Perrin.

Lacine: A woman of the Sea Folk; one of the First Twelve Wavemistresses.

Ladalin:A descendant of Aviendha and Rand, the last survivor of that lineage.

Ladoman: A King of Coremanda; he signed the Compact of the Ten Nations.

Ladwin: A scout in the Band of the Red Hand.

Lady Torkumen: Vram Torkumen's wife and a Darkfriend.

Laefar: An Ogier from Stedding Shangtai.

Laerad: An Aiel; a Water Seeker of the Mosaine Shaido.

Laerid Traehand: A nobleman from Andor.

Laigin Arnault: An Aes Sedai of the Red Ajah, therefore aligned with Elaida's Aes Sedai; killed at the battle of Dumai's Wells.

Laila Dearn/Lewin: A young woman from the Two Rivers. She is married to Natley Lewin and has a baby.

Lain Mandragoran: A nobleman from Malkier. Breyan's husband and Isam's father; al'Akir's brother and Lan's uncle. On a dare from his wife he led his lances into the Blight where he was killed.

Lain: A Domani who employed Durnham, Votabek and Redbord

Lairain: An Aes Sedai of the Brown Ajah, loyal to Elaida during the split who instructs Egwene on what to say during the raising ceremony.

Laird:

Laiwynde: A historical character; daughter of Artur Paendrag and Tamika. Died in a tragic death.

Laman Damodred: A King of Cairhien; Aldecain, Dalresin and Moressin's brother; Moiraine's uncle; Barthanes' cousin. He orders to have Avendoraldera cut down for a throne, causing the Aiel War. He was later killed by the Aiel.

Lamelle: A Maiden of the Spear of the Smoke Water Miagoma. Killed during the fighting in Caemlyn in 'The Fires of Heaven.'

Lamgwin Dorn: A man from Andor; hired by Basel Gill to guard his inn. Loyal subject to Queen Morgase. He is in love with Breane Taborwin and in service with Morgase.

Lan Mandragoran: A nobleman from Malkier; Nynaeve al'Meara's husband. Son of al'Akir and el'Leanna Mandragoran, thus the Uncrowned King Malkier. He was Moiraine Damodred's Warder, until her disappearance; then, his bond was passed over to Myrelle Berengari and then to his wife Nynaeve al' Meara. He has gathered an army to attack through Tarwin's Gap

Lanasiet, Tornay:

Landalin: A Lieutenant in Heeth Tower in Kandor.

Lanelle: A sul'dam present during the meeting where Beslan swears to Tuon and she agrees to meet with Rand. It is possible she was previously referred to as Ianelle.

Lanfear: A Forsaken. Her name before turning to the Shadow was Mierin Eronaile. She disappears as she falls through the Twisted Doorway with Moiraine in 'The Fires of Heaven,' but is later reincarnated as Cyndane.

Lanita: A novice (or Accepted) aligned with the rebel Aes Sedai.

Lannis: An Aes Sedai of the Blue Ajah who indicated that Mesaana was second only to Demandred in anger

Lara Ayellan: A girl from the Two Rivers.

Laras: A woman from Tar Valon; the Mistress of the Kitchens in the White Tower. She has a boltwhole in the kitchens which she tries to persuade Egwene to use.

Larelle Tarsi: An Aes Sedai of the Gray Ajah in 'New Spring.'

Laren: A woman from Altara; a servant in the Tarasin Palace.

Larine Ayellin: A girl from the Two Rivers; aligned with the rebel Aes Sedai as a novice.

Larissa Lyndel: An Aes Sedai of the Yellow Ajah; she is aligned with the rebels. Her name was on Verin's list of Black Ajah. It is not known if she was among the group that escaped.

Laritha: A woman from Thom's past.

Latelle Luca: A bear trainer in Valan Luca's menagerie. She later marries Luca.

Lathin: A Whitecloak, killed by Hopper in the Stedding

Latian: A young nobleman from Cairhien; a member of Cha Faile.

Latra Posae Decume: A historical Aes Sedai from the Age of Legends. She opposed Lews Therin Telamon and his plan for sealing the Bore. She died sometime during the Breaking of the World.

Laud: An Ogier man.

Laurain: A noblewoman from Amadicia.

Lawdrin Mendair: A Redarm. He is killed in 'A Crown of Swords.'

Lawtin: A Redarm. He is killed in 'A Crown of Swords.'

Layden, Barel:

Leafhunter: A wolf.

Leane Sharif: A woman from Arad Doman; Aes Sedai of the Blue Ajah and Keeper of the Chronicles under Siuan Sanche before being stilled. Aes Sedai of the Green Ajah, after having been Healed by Nynaeve al'Meara.

Leanna Mandragoran: The last Queen of Malkier; al'Akir's wife and Lan's mother. She dies defending her country against the Trollocs.

Ledar son of Shandin son of Koimal: A historical Ogier author.

Ledron: Ledron is a man in the village of Hinderstap

Leeh: An Aiel Maiden. Rand has her and two other Maidens watch Weiramon and Anaiyella after he names them Darkfriends

Lehynen: A Domani beggar who is recruited into the reformed City guard for Bandar Eban

Lelaine Akashi: An Aes Sedai of the Blue Ajah; aligned with the rebels and a Sitter in their Hall. She competes with Romanda for power among the Hall. She is bonded to Burin Shaeren. She continues to be highly influential after the Tower is reunited.

Lem al'Dai: A man from Emond's Field in Andor; he accompanies Perrin in his army.

Lem Thane: A boy from Emond's Field in Andor; Jon Thane's eldest son.

Lemai: An Aes Sedai of the Red Ajah; she was one of Toveine's party to be sent to the Black Tower, where she was captured. She is now bonded to an unknown Asha'man.

Lemore: A noblewoman from Tarabon; she has been captured and made damane. She now listens to Larie.

Len Congar: A man from the Two Rivers in Andor.

Lenn: A fictional character.

Leof Torfinn: A young man from the Two Rivers; he follows Perrin in his army.

Leonin: A man from Arafel; Meidani's Warder.

Leral Anan: A young woman from Ebou Dar, Altara. Setalle and Jasfer's daughter; Marah, Frielle and Ross' sister.

Lews Therin Telamon: A historical male Aes Sedai from the Age of Legends; High Seat and leader of the Aes Sedai during the War of the Shadow. He was married to Ilyena and had children, whom he all kills in his taint-induced madness. He is now a voice in Rand's head. Rand concludes that the voice was his own creation and not in reality Lews Therin.

Leya: A woman of the Tuatha'an; she is killed in 'The Dragon Reborn.'

Leyn: An Aiel Wise One.

Liah: A Maiden of the Spear of the Cosaida Chareen. She is balefired by Rand in 'A Crown of Swords.'

Liale Mosrara: A refugee from Tarabon; she now lives in the Two Rivers.

Lian (1): A historical Hunter of the Horn; possibly a Hero of the Horn as well.

Lian (2): An Aiel woman of the Nine Valleys Taardad; the roofmistress of Cold Rocks Hold. Rhuarc's wife and Amys' sister-wife.

Liandrin: An Aes Sedai of the Red Ajah; she is actually Black.

Lidan: A woman from Cairhien; a serving girl at The Nine Rings in Tremonsien.

Lideine Rajan: A historical character; an Aes Sedai involved in the decision to build the White Tower.

Lidrin: A Domani fighting with Rodel who breakd under pressure and launches a suicidal assault on

Lidya: A woman from Seanchan; a damane with the Foretelling. Lillen Moiral: see Moghedien.

Lifa: A Darkfriend merchant

Lincora: One of the First Twelve Wavemistresses of the Atha'an Miere.

Lind: Lind is a woman at the Black Tower who runs the Inn there,

Lindsar: Ogier Eldest in Stedding Sholoon

Lini Eltring: An old woman from Andor; Maighdin, Morgase and Elayne Trakand's nursemaid. She forces Morgase and Tallanvor to get married

Lir Baryn: A nobleman from Andor; he is high Seat and married to Aedelle Baryn.

Lira: A woman from Kandor; a serving girl at The Blue Rose in Canluum.

Lirene Doirellin: An Aes Sedai of the Red Ajah, therefore aligned with the White Tower. She is originally from Cairhien.

Lisaine Jarath: A woman from Seanchan; a der'sul'dam from Seandar.

Lisandre: A novice during 'New Spring.' It is unknown if she was raised or sent away later if she is still alive.

Llyw: Kairen Stang's Warder. Myrelle bonds him after Kairen's death.

Logain Ablar: A man from Ghealdan; an Asha'man and a false Dragon. He is bonded to Gabrelle and Toveine Gazal. He was gentled, but Healed again by Nynaeve al'Meara.

Loial: An Ogier from Stedding Shangtai; Arent and Covril's son. He is married to Erith.

Loise al'Vere: A young woman from Emond's Field; her parents are Brandelwyn and Marin al'Vere and her sisters are

Lomas: A man from Kandor; a soldier.

Londraed: A member of the Band of the Red Hand.

Lord Mavabwin: A Cairhienin noble of middling power who Elayne thought might be able hinder her taking of the Cairhienin throne

Luc Mantear: A nobleman from Andor; Mordrellen's son, Tigraine's brother and Rand's uncle. It is said Gitara Moroso sent him into the Blight according to a Foretelling she had: There he presumably met Isam and somehow merged with him into the evil being now known as "Slayer."

Lydel Elonid: A character from Ebou Dar, who buys The Wandering Woman from Mistress Anan.

[[Lyncon]: A carpenter from Cairhien who was captured by the Shaido and made gai'shain. He'd had most of his spirit beaten out of him, but Perrin considered him capable of doing a good job once it was pointed out to him

Lyndelle: A queen of Andor; Morrigan's daughter and successor.

Lyonford: A great monarch in Saldaea who was known to have a temper when challenged.
