Ba'alzamon: Another name for the Dark One. Ishamael also uses this name in the first three books.

Bael: An Aiel man of the Jhirad Goshien. He is the clan chief of the Goshien Aiel. He is married to both Dorindha and Melaine. He has three sons with Dorindha, and Melaine is pregnant with twin daughters. He is one of the Clan Chiefs in Arad doman who Rand has kidnap the Merchant's Council

Baelder: An Aiel who accompanies Rhuarc when defending Shayol Ghul

Baelome: A noblewoman from Ghealdan.

Baerin: An Aiel woman.

Bagand, Sereille: An Aes Sedai of the White Ajah who was both Mistress of Novices and Amyrlin Seat

Baily, Martna: A possibly fictional character from Hinderstap that Mat claims bakes fresh pies daily.

Bain, Old: An Andoran farmer.

Bain: An Aiel woman of the Black Rock Shaarad. She is a Maiden of the Spear. She is Chiad's first-sister. She accompanies Perrin and Faile to the Two Rivers, then to Caemlyn, Cairhien and into Ghealdan, where she is captured by the Shaido and then set free when Perrin rescues his wife. After the Shaido is defeated, she is Gaul's gai'shain

Bair: An Aiel woman of the Haido Shaarad. She is a Wise One and a dreamwalker, though she cannot channel. She has had three husbands.

Bakayar Mishima: A man from Seanchan. He is a captain in the Seanchan army. He is killed in a Trolloc ambush while returning to Ebou Dar

Bakh: A man who fights with Lan's forces at Tarwin's Gap.

Bakuun, Assid: A commander in the Seanchan army.

Bakuvun, Hafeen: A Domani mercenary that Elayne hires to defend Caemlyn. He does not switch sides

Balat: A man from Arad Doman. His brother is Abar. He eats fire and swallows swords in Valan Luca's menagerie.

Baldene, Covarla: An Aes Seai of the Red Ajah who escaped Dumai's Wells

Baldhere: A man from Kandor. He is Swordbearer to Queen Ethenielle Cosaru Noremaga. He accompanies Ethenielle to her meeting with the other rulers of the Borderlands in the Black Hills.

Balinor: Verin Mathwin's first Warder; he is now dead.

Balladare Arandaille: A historical character; she was an Amyrlin Seat raised from the Brown Ajah. Egwene quotes her while arguing with Elaida

Ballair: A historical character; she was Queen Ishara of Andor's Aes Sedai advisor.

Balthamel: One of the Forsaken; his name before turning to the Shadow was Eval Ramman. He was killed by the Green Man at the Eye of the World, but later reincarnated by the Dark One as Aran'gar.

Balwen Mayel: A historical character; he was the last king of Aridhol.

Balwer, Sebban: The secretary and true spymaster for Pedron Niall, the former Lord Captain Commander of the Children of the Light who started working for Perrin after Aemon Valda had him thrown out of Amador

Ban al'Seen: A man from the Two Rivers in Andor. He accompanies Perrin out of the Two Rivers to Caemlyn, Cairhien, Ghealdan and then Malden, Altara.

Banas: A man from Jarra, Ghealdan. He marries Widow Jorath.

Bandevin, Jala: An Aes Sedai of the Green Ajah.

Bandry Crawe: A man from Emond's Field in the Two Rivers, Andor. His father is Samel Crawe. He accompanies Perrin out of the Two Rivers to Caemlyn, Cairhien, Ghealdan and then Malden, Altara.

Bao: A figure of prophecy for the Sharans

Bar Dowtry: A man from Emond's Field in the Two Rivers, Andor. He is married to Kimry Lewin. He works as a cabinetmaker.

Barada, Vilnar: An Underlieutenant in the Saldaean army.

Baradon, Teslyn: An Aes Sedai of the Red Ajah, sent to Ebou Dar by Elaida, despite being a Sitter and captured by the Seanchan. After being rescued by Mat, she found the Tower not to her tastes and fought alongside the Dragonsworn in the Last Battle.

Baran: A nobleman from Tear. He was killed by the Shaido.

Barashelle: A historical character; she was an Aes Sedai during the Trolloc Wars. She was bonded to Anselan.

Barasine: An Aes Sedai of the Red Ajah, and therefore aligned with Elaida's Aes Sedai. She is raiused to the Hall to replace Duhara.

Barel Layden: A nobleman from Andor. He is the High Seat of House Layden. He supports Elayne Trakand for the Lion Throne.

Barettal: One of Rodel's guards

Bari (1): A man from Caemlyn, Andor. He works in the Royal Palace.

Bari (2): A man who works in Valan Luca's menagerie as a juggler. He is Kin's brother.

Barim Halle: A man from Kore Springs in Andor. He accompanies Gareth Bryne to search for Siuan, Leane and Min.

Barin Madwen: A man from Tremonsien, Cairhien. He was married to Maglin Madwen. He used to own an inn named The Nine Rings. When he died, he passed it on to his wife.

Baris: A man from Ebou Dar, Altara.

Barit Chavana: A man who works as an acrobat in Valan Luca's menagerie. He is supposedly the brother of Taeric and Brugh Chavana, plus one other unnamed, though they look nothing alike.

Barlden: The mayor of Hinderstap, a small town in Murandy.

Barlett: A scout in the children of the Light who betrays Galad to Asunawa.

Barmanes Nolaisen: A nobleman from Cairhien. He is Camaille Nolaisen's brother. He is one of the young Cairhienin who wish to be like the Aiel, and is a member of the Cha Faile society. He accompanies Perrin and Faile to Ghealdan and then to Malden, Altara.

Barmellin: A man who lives on a farm near Tremonsien, Cairhien.

Baroc: An Atha'an Miere man, possibly married to Nesta din Reas Two Moons. He was Nesta's Master of the Blades. He was killed by the Seanchan.

Bartim: A man from Whitebridge, Andor. He owns an inn named The Wayfarer's Rest.

Bartol: Bonded to Erian Boroleos.

Bartu: A man from Shienar. He is a soldier. He is a follower of Masema.

Baryd: A man in Harid Sarand's personal guard. He abandons him to march with Andor in the Last Battle.

Bayle Domon: A man from Illian. He is the captain of a ship named the Spray and is a merchant and a smuggler. He becomes Egeanin's so'jhin and later her husband. He accompanies Mat when he escapes from Ebou Dar.

Beidomon: A male Aes Sedai before the Breaking of the World, during the Age of Legends. He and Mierin (Lanfear) discovered the Bore.

Beira: An Aiel woman. She is one of Bair's gai'shain.

Be'lal: One of the Forsaken; his name before turning to the Shadow was Duram Laddel Cham. He was balefired by Moiraine in the Stone of Tear.

Beldeine Nyram: An Aes Sedai of the Green Ajah; she is aligned with Elaida's Aes Sedai. She is originally from Saldaea. She is one of the Aes Sedai sent by Elaida to capture Rand, but is instead captured herself and forced to swear fealty to Rand. She bonds Karldin Manfor as her Warder. As Rand distances himself more from the Aes Sedai, she is drawn into Cadsuane's group.

Beldemaine: An Aes Sedai of the Yellow Ajah; she is aligned with the rebel Aes Sedai. She is originally from Arafel.

Belevaere Osiellin: A noblewoman from Cairhien.

Belinde: An Aiel woman of the Shaido clan. She is a Wise One. When the Shaido are defeated by Perrin, she is one of those to return to the Aiel Waste to rebuild the Shaido clan.

Belvyn: A soldier in the Band of the Red Hand. He was killed when Moghedien balefired Nynaeve's ship.

Bendhuin: An Aiel man of the Green Salts Shaido. He is a member of the Far Aldazar Din (Brothers of the Eagle) society, and also their leader. He has gone to Rhuidean in the hopes of becoming the new Shaido clan chief.

Benji Dalfor: One of the Younglings who follow Gawyn Trakand.

Benly Coplin: A man from the Two Rivers in Andor. He died because he was so paranoid of people poisoning his food.

Bennae Nalsad: An Aes Sedai of the Brown Ajah; she is aligned with Elaida's Aes Sedai. She is originally from Shienar. she gets herself into trouble asking about the secret histories and asks Egwene for advice on how to extricate herself.

Bent, Kalia:

Beonin Marinye: An Aes Sedai of the Gray Ajah; she is aligned with Elaida's Aes Sedai. She is originally from Tarabon. Her Warder is Tervail Dura. She was one of the original group of leaders in Salidar. She swore an oath of fealty to Egwene al'Vere after she was raised to the Amyrlin Seat. She is actually a spy for Elaida, and after Egwene's capture, she returns to the White Tower.

Bera Harkin: An Aes Sedai of the Green Ajah; she is aligned with the rebel Aes Sedai. She has three Warders. She is originally from Andor. She is sent to the Aiel Waste to search for Rand, and ends up joining up with the rebel embassy to Rand. She is captured by Rand's forces at Dumai's Wells and forced to swear fealty to him.

Berab Golever: A Lord Captain of the Children of the Light with Rhadam Asunawa. He joins Galad after Asunawa orders Galad imprisoned.

Beralna: An Aiel woman. She is a Maiden of the Spear. She is one of the Maidens with Rand and guards Milisair Chadmar.

Berana: An Aes Sedai of and Sitter for the White Ajah; she is aligned with the rebel Aes Sedai.

Berelain sur Paendrag Paeron: The First of Mayene. She is a supporter of Rand al'Thor. She accompanies Perrin to Ghealdan and then to Malden, Altara.

Berengari, Myrelle:

Berenicia Morsad: An Aes Sedai of the Yellow Ajah; she is aligned with the rebel Aes Sedai. She is originally from Shienar. She is part of the rebel embassy to Rand, but ends up escorting the Two Rivers girls found by Verin and Alanna to Salidar.

Berewin: A noblewoman from Cairhien.

Bergevin: A quartermaster in the Band of the Red Hand

Berin Thane: A man from Emond's Field in the Two Rivers, Andor. He is Jon Thane's brother.

Berisha Terakuni: An Aes Sedai of the White Ajah; she is aligned with Elaida's Aes Sedai. She is originally from Arafel.

Bernaile Gelbarn: An Aes Sedai of the White Ajah; she is aligned with the rebel Aes Sedai. She is originally from Tarabon. She is one of the Aes Sedai sent back to the White Tower to spread rumors about Logain and the Red Ajah. She is found out and forced to swear fealty to Doesine, Pevara, Saerin, Seaine and Yukiri and to help them hunt the Black Ajah.

Bernherd: A Tairen who is the Innkeeper of the Dead Man's Breath in Caemlyn

Beron Goerad: A man from Ghealdan. He is a merchant. He is married to Teresia, a former Queen of Ghealdan.

Berowin: A woman from Cairhien. She is a member of the Kin and is a Wise Woman. She accompanies Elayne and Nynaeve to Caemlyn.

Berowyn al'Vere: A woman from Emond's Field in the Two Rivers, Andor. Her parents are Brandelwyn and Marin al'Vere, and her sisters are Alene, Egwene, Elisa and Loise al'Vere. She was married and had a baby, but her husband and baby died of breakbone fever.

Bertain Gallenne: A man from Mayene. He is the Lord Captain of the Winged Guards. He accompanies Berelain and Perrin to Ghealdan and then to Malden, Altara. After the Shaido have been beated, he wants Perrin to charge and disperse the remainder.

Bertome Saighan: A nobleman from Cairhien. He became the High Seat of House Saighan after Colavaere's death.

Beryl Marle: A historical character; she was an Amyrlin Seat raised from the White Ajah.

Berylla Naron: An Aes Sedai of the Blue Ajah. She is also a member of the Black Ajah. She fled the White Tower with Liandrin and eleven other members of the Black Ajah. The last we hear of her, she is in the employ of Moghedien.

Beslan Quintara: The King of Altara. He is the son of Tylin Quintara. He abandons his plans for rebellion and swears fealty to Tuon.

Bethamin Zeami: A woman from Seanchan. She is a sul'dam. She is one of the sul'dam that Egeanin forces into helping Mat and company escape from Ebou Dar.

Betse Silvin: A woman from Maerone, Cairhien. She works at an inn called the Golden Stag.

Bili (1): A man from Illian. He is Nieda Sidoro's nephew. He works at his aunt's inn, Easing the Badger.

Bili (2): A fictional character. There are many stories about him.

Bili Adarra: A man from the Two Rivers in Andor. He is a distant cousin of Perrin Aybara. He accompanies Perrin out of the Two Rivers to Caemlyn, Cairhien, Ghealdan and then to Malden, Altara.

Bili al'Dai: A man from a farm in the Two Rivers in Andor. His father is Hu al'Dai and his grandfather is Master al'Dai. He is killed by Trollocs.

Bili Congar: A man from Emond's Field in the Two Rivers, Andor.

Bili Mandair: The son of Willa Mandair. He was on Moiraine's list of possibilities for the Dragon Reborn.

Binde: An Ash'aman with Rodel

Biranca Hasad: A historical character; she was an Aes Sedai who lived shortly after the Breaking of the World.

Birgitte Trahelion: Also known as Birgitte Silverbow. She is a Hero of the Horn. She was torn out of Tel'aran'rhiod, where she stays in between lives, and bonded by Elayne Trakand. Elayne named her the Captain General of the Queen's Guards. She is in love with Gaidal Cain and the two of them are always associated with each other.

Birlen Pena: A member of the Black Ajah on Verin's list

Blaeric Negina: A man from Shienar. He is bonded to Joline Maza.

Blaes of Matuchin: A historical character; she was a Hunter of the Horn.

Blasic Faloun: A man from Seanchan. He is a soldier.

Boanne: A woman from the Fourth Age; she composed "The Legend of the Dragon".

Bodewhin Cauthon: A girl from Emond's Field in the Two Rivers, Andor. Her parents are Abell and Natti Cauthon, and her siblings are Matrim and Eldrin Cauthon. She has the ability to channel, and ends up joining the rebel Aes Sedai as a novice.

Bollin: A man who works as a horse handler in Valan Luca's menagerie.

Bonwhin Meraighdin: A historical character; she was an Amyrlin Seat raised from the Red Ajah. She was deposed and stilled for trying to manipulate Artur Hawkwing.

Boreane Carivin: A woman from Cairhien. She works as a servant in Rand's camp.

Branlet Gilyard: A nobleman from Andor. He is the High Seat of House Gilyard. He supports Elayne Trakand for the Lion Throne.

Brannin Martan: A nobleman from Andor. He is married to Elvaine Martan. He and his wife support Elayne Trakand for the Lion Throne.

Breane Taborwin: A noblewoman from Cairhien. She is in love with Lamgwin Dorn. She accompanies Morgase when she leaves Caemlyn and is now one of Perrin and Faile's servants.

Bromas: the Innkeeper of the Two Apples in Caemlyn

Bruan: An Aiel man of the Salt Flat Nakai. He is the clan chief of the Nakai Aiel.

Brugh Chavana: A man who works as an acrobat in Valan Luca's menagerie. He is supposedly the brother of Taeric and Barit Chavana, plus one other unnamed, though they look nothing alike.

Brys (2): A nobleman from Tarabon.

Buad of Albhain: A historical character; she was a Hunter of the Horn.

Buel Dowtry: A man from Emond's Field in the Two Rivers, Andor. He is a fletcher.

Buiryn: A historical character; he was a king of Manetheren.

Bukama Marenellin: A man from Malkier. He was a soldier. He was one of the men sent to escape with Lan when Malkier fell. He was killed by Ryne Venamar in "New Spring".

Bulen: A boy from Chachin, Kandor. He worked in the Aesdaishar Palace after the Aiel War and joins Lan in his treck across the Borderlands
