Saal: A woman from Tar Valon; a maid at The Woman of Tanchico inn. Her sister is Mada.

Sabeine Ocalin: A Kinswoman.

Saera Doesin: A woman from Murandy; married to Eadwin. On Moiraine's list of possible women to give birth to the Dragon Reborn.

Saeric: An Aiel warrior of the Red Water Goshien.

Saerin Asnobar: An Aes Sedai of the Brown Ajah; she is aligned with Elaida's Aes Sedai. She is a Sitter for her Ajah and a hunter for the Black Ajah.

Sahra Covenry: A novice in the White Tower. She is killed by one of the Black Ajah in 'The Shadow Rising.'

Seaine Herimon: An Aes Sedai of the White Ajah; she is aligned with the White Tower and a Sitter in their Hall. She is one of the hunters for the Black Ajah inside the Tower.

Sealdre: A historical character; a Wise One during the building of Rhuidean. Mandein's wife.

Seana: A Wise One of the Black Cliffs Nakai; a dreamwalker. She is killed by a Draghkar in 'The Shadow Rising.'

Sebban Balwer: A man from Amadicia; Pedron Niall's secretary and true spymaster of the Children of the Light. After Niall's death and the Seanchan invasion, Balwer works as Perrin's secretary.

Sedore: An Aes Sedai of the Yellow Ajah; she sides with the White Tower and is a Sitter in their Hall.

Sedrin: A highwalker in Valan Luca's menagerie. He falls to his death after the show leaves Sienda.

Seonid Traighan: An Aes Sedai of the Green Ajah; she is aligned with the rebel Aes Sedai. She is bonded to Furen Alharra and Teryl Wynter. She is originally from Cairhien.

Sephanie Pelden: A young tirewoman in the Royal Palace in Caemlyn. Naris' sister.

Sergase Gilbearn: A nobleman from Andor.

Serile: A woman of the Sea Folk; Turane's Windfinder.

Serrisa: A damane from Seanchan. She is in Egeanin's service for a time.

Seta Zarbey: A sul'dam from Seanchan. She travels with Mat and the Aes Sedai with him find out that she is able to channel.

Setagana: Anaiya's Warder. He is killed in 'Crossroads of Twilight.'

Setalle Anan: A burned out Aes Sedai; the innkeeper of The Wandering Woman in Ebou Dar, until selling the inn. She has a couple of children with her husband Jasfer: Frielle, Leral, Marah and Ross are among them. She is 'the one who is no longer.' She travels with Mat.

Setsuko: A woman from Arafel; a novice in 'New Spring.' It is likely she has been sent away, since she was not strong enough to be tested for Accepted.

Sevanna: A Wise One of the Jumai Shaido; roofmistress of Comarda Hold and wife of the former clan chief Suladric. Speaks as the clan chief until a new one has gone to Rhuidean.

Seve: A boy from Ghealdan; he and his brother Jaril are orphans.

Sevlana Meseau: A historical character; a legendary Aes Sedai of the Gray Ajah.

Shadowkiller: see Rand.

Shai'tan: The Dark One's true name. It is considered unlucky to speak his name.

Shaidar Haran: A too-tall Myrddraal; the Hand of the Dark.

Shalon din Togara Morning Tide: A woman of the Sea Folk; the Windfinder of Clan Shodein. Mishael's wife; Harine din Togara's sister.

Shana: An Aes Sedai of the White Ajah; she is aligned with the rebels. She has a Talent in reading residues.

Shaofan: A man from Shara; the Sh'botay, a kind of emperor.

Silene Dorelmin: A woman from Kandor; the best seamstress in Chachin.

Sillia Cerano: Owner of a traveling circus; one of Valan Luca's competitors.

Silviana Brehon: An Aes Sedai of the Red Ajah; Mistress of Novices under Elaida.

Sim: A man from Amadicia; the innkeeper in The King's Lancer in Sienda.

Simaan: A High Lord of Tear. One of the rebels against Rand.

Simion: A man from Ghealdan; a servant at Haralin's Leap in Jarra. Noam's brother.

Siuan Sanche: An Aes Sedai of the Blue Ajah. She was the Amyrlin Seat before the Tower split that was caused by her disposal. In Salidar, she becomes Egwene's advisor; she is also Healed later by Nynaeve and accepted back into the Blue Ajah

Solain Morgeillin: A Kinswoman.

Solinda: A historical character; an Aes Sedai during the Breaking of the World.

Somara: A Maiden of the Spear of the Bent Peak Daryne. She is killed in 'The Path of Daggers.'

Someryn: A Wise One of the Shaido Aiel; she is tied to Sevanna through killing Desaine.

Someshta: The last of the Nym. Also called the Green Man. Killed in 'Eye of the World.'

Sora Grady: Jur Grady's wife. They have a son.

Soran Milo: A historical character; a writer.

Sorelana Alsahhan: A historical character; a scholar during the Trolloc Wars.

Sorelle: A historical character; a young Da'shain Aiel and a Dreamer. Adan and Siedre's daughter; Elwin, Jaren, Marind and Rhea's sister. She died of a fever.

Sorelle ay Marena: A historical character; a Queen of Manetheren. She signed the Compact of the Ten Nations.

Sorilea: A Wise One of the Jarra Chareen and roofmistress of Shende Hold. She stands very high among the Wise Ones, as all the others defer to her.

Sotarin: A Wise One.

Souran Maravaile: A historical character; Artur Hawkwing's best general and Ishara's husband. His daughter Alesinde ascended the throne after Ishara.

Spar: A man from Ebou Dar; a Darkfriend in Old Cully's circle.

Speral: A man from Altara; an assistant to the merchant's guild in So Habor.

Spiron Narettin: A nobleman from Illian; a member of the Council of Nine.

Steler: A bannerman in the Tower Guard during the Aiel War.

Stepin: Kerene Nagashi's Warder.

Stevan: A man from Cairhien; Demira Eriff's Warder.

Strom: A man from Andor; a bouncer in The Dancing Cartman.

Suana Dragand: An Aes Sedai of the Yellow Ajah; she stays in the White Tower, where she is a Sitter in the Hall and First Weaver of her Ajah.

Suilin Escanda: A historical character; an Amyrlin Seat raised from the Blue Ajah

Suladric: The last clan chief of the Shaido Aiel; Sevanna's husband.

Sulamein so Bhagad: A man from the Fourth Age; he composed "The Wheel of Time".

Sulin: A Maiden of the Spear; she was roofmistress of the Roof of the Maidens in Rhuidean, until she left with Rand. She commanded the Maidens with Rand, until Nandera took over. Now she is with Perrin's group.

Sulmara: A historical character; a renegade Aes Sedai and Queen of Masenashar.

Sulwin: A historical character; a Da'shain Aiel shortly after the Breaking of the World and one of the first Tuatha'an.

Sumeko Karistovan: A Kin Elder and Wise Woman in Ebou Dar; she was an Accepted in the White Tower, but put out when she failed her test for the shawl.

Sumi, Great-Aunt: A fictional character.

Sunamon Haellin: A High Lord of Tear.

Suraile: A Maiden of the Spear of the Moshaine Shaido; Maeric and Dyrele's daughter, Darin's sister.

Surandha: A Wise One apprentice studying under Sorilea.

Surasa: A historical character; a Queen of Kandor and Ethenielle's ancestor.

Surela: A der'sul'dam from Seanchan.

Surine: A sul'dam from Seanchan.

Surlivan Sarat: A man from Altara; an officer of the guard of the Tarasin Palace in Ebou Dar.

Suroth Sabelle Meldarath: A High Lady from Seanchan and a Darkfriend. After Turak's death, she takes over the command of the Forerunners. She orders the attack on Tarabon and then Amadicia. After the Empress' death, she wants to claim that title herself and sends her men to kill Tuon. She fails and is reduced to being da'covale.

Susa: A fictional character, though it might be possible she really lived. In this case she might have been Jain Farstrider's wife, who died of a fever.

Susa al'Seen: A novice aligned with the rebel Aes Sedai. She is among the Two Rivers girls Alanna Mosvani and Verin Mathwin want to enroll in the novice book, but a group of Aes Sedai of the original Salidar embassy end up escorting them to the rebel camp.

Susa Wynn: A woman from Murandy; her husband died before the fighting began in the Aiel War, leaving her with their son Cyril.

Susu: A woman from Murandy; a singer in The Good Night's Ride in Lugard.

Sybaine: A woman from Far Madding; one of the thirteen Counsels.

Sylvase Caeren: A noblewoman from Andor; Lord Nasin's granddaughter and heir.
