General

One of the first Merit Badges introduced in March 2011.

  • Members earn a silver merit after two and a half cumulative years as a Tower Sworn.
  • A gold merit is earned after five cumulative years as a Tower Sworn; a second gold is awarded after 10 years, and a third gold after 15 years.
  • When it comes time to receive a fourth gold merit, a member is awarded a platinum merit instead of a fourth gold, and this is considered the highest level of this merit.

The platinum merit was first introduced after the Winter 2023 Executive Meeting and was first awarded in April 2023.
